Meet the Team

Frank Marin

 

Frank Marin is the CEO and co-founder of Marhold, where he is leading the charge on innovative solutions for the space economy and infrastructure. He also works at Pratt & Whitney, applying his aerospace engineering experience to advance cutting-edge technology.

His passion for space began early—at 15, he conducted original research, and by 17, he developed the concept for the Orbit Decaying Electromagnetic Satellite (ODES), which earned recognition from NASA and the Office of Naval Research at the Greater Capital Region Science and Engineering Fair. The design was patented in June 2024.

Frank holds both an MBA and B.S. in aerospace engineering from Syracuse University.

Jon Moreland

 

Jonathan is an Applied Physics specialist with a robust background in software and robotics engineering, currently enhancing his expertise at Marhold Space Systems. His professional journey includes developing TensorFlow Lite models for Raspberry Pi platforms, enabling precise object tracking via integrated serial communications with Arduino systems. His internship experience at NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab has equipped him with skills in opto-mechanical engineering, 3D printing, and adapting complex systems to challenging environments. A former U.S. Navy Tactical Air Traffic Control Center Supervisor, Jonathan excels in high-stakes, technical settings, offering a unique blend of leadership, engineering acumen, and innovative problem-solving skills.

Grace Rico

 

Grace is an Aarhus University candidate for a M.S. in Bioinformatics, after achieving a B.S. in Neuroscience with a specialisation in Computer Science. Her previous projects analysing data in models of neurodegenerative diseases and development of novel methods studying autism drive the skills utilised in her position as a software engineer. Her experience includes software development in more than nine languages for including, but not limited to, projects for electroencephalography, immunohistochemistry, Augmented Reality, and computer models of cognition. 

Pei Ren

 

Pei is a Syracuse University mechanical engineering major. In the Squishy and Flowy Materials Lab at her university, she helps design and construct testing apparatus to research soft interfaces. She is also working on a capstone project in developing a communications mounting system for aerial vehicles. Her work with materials and design prepares her to be part of the engineering team.

Sasha Temerte

 

Sasha is a Communications Strategist specializing in tech startups and firms.

She holds a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in Writing and Rhetoric from Syracuse University.

Eric Holdosh

 

Eric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Planning from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana as well as a Masters of Business Administration degree from University of Missouri in St. Louis, Missouri. Eric's financial education is tailored toward both personal and business disciplines, so he serves as our financial advisor.

Linda Baguma

 

Linda is a Syracuse University political science major on the pre-law track with minors in international relations and writing. On campus, she is the Chair of DNI in the Student Association, a representative for the Maxwell School of Citizenship, and a member of SU’s community Review Board. Linda received direct experience with law through interning with a corporate law firm in Austin, Texas and with the Onondaga County District Attorney's office, preparing her to serve as our legal analyst. 

Dariya Getya

 

Dariya Getya, Ph.D., is a highly motivated research scientist with a passion for the development and characterization of functional and sustainable polymeric materials that have practical applications in various industries. She has more than 10 years of research and synthesis experience in polymer and organic chemistry. Skilled at collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading projects from conception to completion, managing resources and timelines, and delivering results that meet or exceed project objectives. Managed teams and mentored junior scientists to foster growth and development. Authors technical reports and present technical results to internal and external audiences regularly.
